Math Practice Information

How to play

This information relates to the math practice tool linked here.

In the current practice mode, the goal is to answer as many questions correctly in five minutes. When ready, click the start button. A question should pop up; answer choices A, B, C, D, and E should appear; and the timer will start counting down. Answer choice E stands for none of the above or none of these answers; select this answer if you believe none of A, B, C, and D are correct or if the question is flawed. If the answer you select is correct, the page will automatically move on to the next question; if the answer is incorrect, a message will be displayed and there will be a button to move on. A correct answer will be scored as +1 point and an incorrect answer counts as -1 point; the current score is displayed below the timer.

Currently, the timer is not implemented to actually stop the game; once the timer runs out, it is still possible to answer questions. Future updates will allow for the ability to review questions after the time runs out.

All of the questions can be answered without a calculator and it is recommended not to use a calculator; however, if it is your desire to use a calculator there is no way we can stop you.
